Dr. Mick Noel-Director, C4ML at Biblical SeminaryMichael D. Noel has been the executive director of C4ML (Catalyst for Emerging Church Leadership) since July 2006. Dr. Noel spent the previous 10 years as assistant vice president for church multiplication ministries and national director of church planting with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA).
As director of C4ML, Dr. Noel is establishing a network of churches and ministry leaders committed to a more effective missional engagement with the cultural realities of North America. C4ML provides resources for congregational and para-church leaders through leadership coaching, intellectual reflection, continuing education, local pastoral learning communities, and experimental modeling. As an arm of Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA, the center contributes to the seminary’s goal of serving the church by training and developing missional leaders.
“Mick’s background in church planting and passion for missions make him ideally suited for this position,” says Dr. David G. Dunbar, president of Biblical Seminary. “We are excited about bringing together voices from all parts of the Christian spectrum, and we believe Mick is great at developing C4ML as a valuable resource.”
Before joining Biblical Seminary, Mick served as staff pastor, church planter, lead pastor in a church planting congregation, district and national pastoral coach, and director of church planting ministries. Immediately prior to arriving at Biblical, he spent 10 years as assistant vice president for church multiplication ministries for the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He is ordained by the Eastern District of CMA.
Dr. Noel received his doctor of ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, his MA and master of divinity from Biblical Seminary, and his BA from Nyack College, NY. He and his wife Karen currently live with two of their four children in Telford, PA.
